Servir à 16°C. Pensez à le carafer pour que son nez à l’abord discret puisse se révéler.

Ce vin fera un mariage heureux avec un bœuf en daube, un steak au poivre ou un civet de lièvre. Il pourra aussi accompagner dignement un fromage relevé comme un Comté de 18 mois ou une tome de Savoie bien affinée ainsi qu’un Chèvre sec.

Generous in color, structure and maturity. Sustained, brilliant ruby-red color.

On the nose

The first nose offers a basket of red fruits, blackcurrant, cherry, elderberry, followed by notes of garrigue, thyme and rosemary.

At the palace

A slightly minty freshness may surprise on the palate, but the greediness soon takes over and we find the red fruit flavors present on the nose, as well as the sweetness of chocolate and cinnamon. A fine acidity on the finish gives this wine energy and length.

A harmony of 4 grape varieties with a predominance of Grenache (organic Grenache, organic Syrah, organic Cinsault, organic Mourvèdre).

Soil

Certified organic, the vineyard extends over a total of 26 preserved hectares.

Harvest

Harvesting is done by hand, in crates, and is followed by a rigorous selection of bunches. The grapes were harvested on September 26, 2016 in optimal conditions, with the 2016 vintage shaping up to be a great year for this Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
