On the palate, sweetness and roundness predominate, with silky tannins and a lingering licorice finish. A wine of elegance and concentration.

Grape variety(ies)

Grenache 60% - Power and generosity make up Grenache's gourmet character. Characteristic aromas include black cherry, tobacco, chocolate, mocha and white pepper.
Syrah 30% - The grape variety of choice in Côtes du Rhône, Syrah gives the wine a spicy character and delicious notes of violets and black fruits. The resulting wines are as fine as they are complex.
Mourvèdre 5% - Full-bodied and tannic, Mourvèdre lends power, complexity and ageing potential to the blend.
Marselan 5% - Thanks to its polyphenolic and anthocyanic richness, marselan brings structure, color intensity and aromatic complexity to the blend.

Soil

Between Pont d'Avignon and Pont du Gard, you'll find Château des Coccinelles on the purple road of the Côtes du Rhône and Rhône Valley.

Situated on a former bed of the Rhône, the plateau is rooted in one of the region's noblest terroirs, where the powerful Mistral sweeps through a clay-limestone soil covered with rolled pebbles.

Winemaking

The 2020 vintage is characterized by its earliness, linked to an exceptionally mild winter and spring, and by its quality, derived from healthy grapes harvested at full maturity. The result is well-balanced, highly expressive and delicious wines.
