Founded in 1917 in Bourg-sur-Gironde by Joseph Brouette, originally from Champagne, Brouette produces sparkling wines using the traditional method. In 2001, the family company was bought out by the Cave coopérative de Die Jaillance.
A sharp increase in business, as well as a new partnership with Les Cordeliers de Saint-Émilion at the end of 2013, led the new Jaillance-Brouette-Les Cordeliers structure to leave the historic Pain de Sucre cellars in Bourg-sur-Gironde to invest and set up in the commune of Peujard at the beginning of 2014. The IFS-certified winery produces Crémants de Bordeaux under the Jaillance, Brouette and Les Cordeliers brands, as well as traditional method cuvées.
