How do you drink Clairette de Die?

Visit The Clairette de Die is best enjoyed chilled, at a temperature of between 6 and 8°C, to fully appreciate its finesse and fruity aromas. Served in a flute or tulip glass, it reveals its delicate bubbles and deliciously fragrant bouquet. Perfect as an aperitif, its lightness and sweetness also make it an excellent companion for desserts, especially fresh fruit and pastries. For an optimal experience, let the wine oxygenate for a few moments in the glass before tasting.

Thus served, the The Clairette de Die invites you to a moment of sharing and pleasure, reflecting the French art of living.

The main difference between Crémant and The Clairette de Die lies in their production method and geographical origin. Crémant is made using the traditional (or champenoise) method, which involves a second fermentation in the bottle, conferring finesse and complexity to the bubbles. This appellation applies to several regions of France, each producing its own Crémant (Burgundy, Alsace, Loire, etc.) with specific grape varieties.

Visit The Clairette de Dieis mainly produced in the Die region of the Drôme. It is made using the ancestral method, where fermentation is stopped by chilling and then resumed in the bottle, allowing the wine to retain its natural sugar levels and distinctive fruity aromas. This unique process gives Clairette de Die its sweet or off-dry character and light bubbles, offering a different taste experience from Crémant, which is generally drier and sharper.

Jaillance offers these two products in its boutique, The Clairette de Die and Crémanteach reflecting the terroir and know-how of its region.

Visit The Clairette de Die is made using an ancestral method unique to this region of the Drôme. The process begins with the manual harvesting of Muscat and Clairette grapes, followed by a first fermentation at low temperature. Before the end of this fermentation, the wine is bottled with residual sugar, allowing for a second, natural fermentation in the bottle, giving it its characteristic effervescence. This slow, non-disgorging process favors the development of fruity aromas and a light mousse. La The Clairette de Die is distinguished by its natural sweetness and fine bubbles, the result of traditional know-how.
